A Diverse and Inclusive Community

Our team proudly celebrates diversity and inclusion in everything we do. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves a second chance and a supportive community, Paws in Recovery provides a safe, affirming space for individuals in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community navigating mental health and addiction challenges. Based in Windsor, Ontario, our locally operated program combines professional, evidence-based approaches with a human touch—kindness, empathy, and respect are at the heart of all we do.

Mission

To empower members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to overcome addiction and mental health challenges by providing the autonomy, support, and resources they need to shape their own recovery journey.

Vision

To be a leading recovery and wellness center in Ontario, fostering long-term mental health and addiction support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Our staff is a dedicated, multidisciplinary team—including certified addiction counselors, program coordinators, peer support workers, and volunteers—driven by a shared passion for helping others. Many team members are part of, or allies to, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, bringing understanding, acceptance, and lived experience to their work. Every member is trained in trauma-informed care, first aid, and Naloxone administration to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

Paws in Recovery is more than a program—it’s a family and a supportive community.
